I love Hed Kandi. I must admit to being a bit of a sucker for their cd’s. The ‘Back To Love’ series is one of Hed Kandi’s most acclaimed set of releases. I’ve still got the originals that were released as double-pack vinyl and they are stuffed full of brilliant records from back in the day.

Well out now is the new mix entitled Back To Love The Mix 2008

So what is this release all about then? Well basically it’s a 3cd mix of all the best tracks from the ‘Back To Love’ series blended together for a raucous party mix. Cd one starts of with the rather fine Rhythm On The Loose - Break of Dawn before diving into hot tunage like Sandy B, Robin S, Chrissy Ward, Alison Limerick and another ten top funky house oldies.

Cd two carries on the house flavours kickin off with the now legendary Morales remix of Jamiroquai’s Space Cowboy.

Cd three drops the tempo down but the party would definitely still be rocking! A Tribe Called Quest, Barrie K Sharpe and King Bee all feature within the first five tracks! Other hotties include Young MC, Lisa Lisa (I used to close out all my sets with this) and Nomad.

Yeah it’s got all the classics, some of which have been rinsed out too many times but when they are put together like this then it makes it a must purchase!
