Andy Ward says ” Having played at Bluu in the past, I know this is the perfect venue to host the Vocal Booth. I have a great set of people that come out to support me whenever I’m in town, and we are expecting a strong national contingent here at the end of March. If anyone loves happy, vocal driven house music from the soul, then The Vocal Booth is the only place to be“
First of all I know Wendy wants to thank everyone who came to Gus’s funeral. Y’all managed to raise £317.70 for a Lymphoma charity thanks to your donations so big yaself up people, Gus would be proud (as well as giggling at us as we all drove home in the snow, ‘freeze you buggers, hee hee’).
Please visit the GoneTooSoon website and light a candle for Gus:

Here’s a video of us all, Richard, Paul, Gus, Wendy, Sam, Char, Diane & Kara having it large at Revolutions in Huddersfield a couple of months ago (sorry about the sound quality but we were stood next to the speaker

It’s a big file so may take a while to load.
Here’s me and Gus dj’ing on Jive102FM back in 2001. Excuse the dodgy mixing but they didn’t have any proper decks at Jive.

It is with sad heart that I have to announce the death of our close friend and fellow Pressure DJ/presenter, Gus.

After a long battle with cancer Gus passed away in his sleep at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary last night.
He was a wonderful friend and we had some great times together. He was always up for a laugh and liked nothing better than getting together with his mates for a session.
We dj’ed together on numerous occasions playing everything from UK garage to tribal house. He was also part of the tag team that played on local pirate radio station Jive102FM here in Huddersfield alongside myself and Paul.
Then all three of us started playing for Pressure and it was only when, first work commitments and then illness took over did Gus have to stop, but he came into the chat room whenever he could, even from his hospital bed.
We love and miss you Gus, you will be in our hearts forever.
Our thoughts go out to his family (especially brother Tony) and wife Wendy.
RIP Guiseppe Immediata
Richard & Paul
My hard drive decided to go skitzo the other day and it’s been a nightmare to sort out. I couldn’t transfer any of the tunes on it to my main hard drive or even burn a dvd backup without it crashing!
Sods law it had to be the hard drive with all my Traxsource purchases on it.
Anyway after trying numerous fixes and figuring out the only way to remove the contents was to delete it into my recycle bin, I figured I could delete it all, format the hard drive and then restore it back.
Doh! Guess what? That doesn’t work either, all my files were gone forever, nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Thankfully the guys and gals at Traxsource took pity on me and re-activated all my previous purchases right back to 2004 so at least I can re-download them again.
The moral of the story is . . .
Either get your brother to sort out your hard drive (especially if he’s a pc genius like mine, big up our Geoff!) or better still REGULARLY BACK UP YOUR TUNES!
In these days of cheap dvd burners etc it really is a no brainer to burn them off.
Big shouts to the support staff at Traxsource for being such wonderful people ![]()
